That's MERRY CHRISTMAS in Italian!
So, Christmas has come and gone. It`s one of the quietest Christmas I've had. 'Twas neither too exciting nor too boring.
On Christmas Eve, we went to the encore presentation of our church's Children's Ministry Christmas play entitled The Best Christmas Present Ever. It was a hit, just like last Sunday's presentation. My niece sang in the choir and spoke a bit towards the end of the play.
Then we went to our churchmate's - and family dentist's - house for a Christmas dinner party. The C's came with us and I mostly hung out with them. Other churchmates attended the shindig and we wished each other a merry Christmas. I missed MuchMoreMusic's broadcast of VH1 Divas 2009, featuring Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Jordin Sparks, and Jennifer Hudson for this party.
We left with Christmas gifts - mine was suspiciously shaped like Purdy's chocolates - at around 11 PM. We stopped by Shoppers Drug Mart for about half an hour so my sister could get the antibiotics that our dentist prescribed. Then we went home.
We opened the presents just after midnight, after a couple of Kodak moments (i.e. picture-taking sessions). I gave my nephew the Casio watch (a.k.a. Usher's watch) that he wanted, a $50 iTunes gift card, and $100. I gave my niece a copy of Rhythm Heaven Nintendo DS Game and $100. I gave Miss KC a $50 iTunes gift card and $100, because she only asked for money. I gave Little Mr. JC a Rex the Dinosaur collectible figure from Toy Story and $40.
And what did I get?
Aside from my mom's early Christmas gifts during Black Friday, she also gave me Ferrero Rocher. Yum! As I guessed, my dentist gave me Purdy's Hedgehog chocolates. Double yum! The C's gave me the Inglourious Basterds DVD and He's Just Not That Into You Blu-Ray disc. Then the A's gave me Stephen King's Under The Dome and Jennifer Weiner's Best Friends Forever. Yippee!!!
At least I got four items from my updated wish list. Hehehehehe... Didn't get the BlackBerry Curve 8520 or the first issue of Y: The Last Man, though. Oh, well. Maybe I can get these on my 27th B'Day? Hehehehehe...
After all the excitement from the gift-opening, we sat down for a bit of eggnog and coffee for the grown-ups and hot chocolate for the kids. Then I brought my Blu-Ray player to the living room so my bro-in-law could hook it up to his Bose system. Then we watched the He's Just Not That Into You disc. We finished the movie at about 3:40 AM and they went to bed. I stayed up until 4:30 or 5 AM, then I fell asleep.
I woke up at noon on Christmas Day and stayed in bed until about 1 PM. Then I went upstairs to eat. I went back to my room to watch The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and the rest of the trilogy. However, partway through Disc 2, I fell asleep. I didn't wake up until 10:30 PM. I was hungry, so I went upstairs to get some food to bring to my room. I continued the trilogy; it's now 5 AM and I'm watching The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Disc 1.
I must finish the movie, and maybe get some sleep before tonight's party.
Buon Natale! And Happy Boxing Day!!!

Only Eight Days Before Christmas!
Now that I have the Blu-Ray player, I think it's time to update my Christmas wish list.
Of course, I still want the new BlackBerry Curve 8520 or the first and subsequent issues of Brian K. Vaughan's Y: The Last Man. Oh, and $25,000. Hehehe...
You know what else I want for Christmas?

The Golden Globes? Not So Golden. (Hmph!)
Well, LOST scored only one nomination: Michael Emerson for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or a Motion Picture Made for Television. Congratulations, Michael! (Hmmm... Me thinks the Emmy win helped. That is, aside from the awesomeness that is Michael Emerson. Hehehehe...)
But, yeah, only one nomination. *Sniff sniff*
The good thing about the year's Golden Globe TV nominations? Glee is nominated for four - FOUR! - categories!!! The series is up against 30 Rock, Entourage, Modern Family, and The Office for the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical award. Matthew Morrison (Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical), Lea Michele (Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical), and Jane Lynch (Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Miniseries or a Motion Picture Made for Television) are also nominated. Jane Lynch better win or else... (Mwahahahahaha)
I'm happy that Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife) is nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama and that Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) is nominated in Michael Emerson's category. Yay!
Oh, one more thing: Where are John Noble (Fringe) and Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory)? Hmmmm...
LOST better be nominated next year! If not, I will summon the Smoke Monster! Hehehehehe...

Spanish LOST Promo Rocks
I admit I should have watched this once I heard of it, but I've been busy. So here it is - the Spanish TV network Quatro's promo for LOST's sixth and final season.
(Video clip courtesy of YouTube user campetin.)
Carlton Cuse even called it the best LOST promo he's ever seen. Wow.

Clarkson and Rowland Net One Grammy Nomination Each
Oh, happy day!
Two of my favourite singers ever - i.e. Kelly Clarkson and Kelly Rowland - are nominated for a Grammy Award each!!!
The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards nominations were announced tonight on CBS via a music-filled concert. (Yes, I know, I'm from the West Coast. It's all over Twitter and celebrity sites, though.) Beyonce Knowles leads with 10 nominations, including Record of the Year for "Halo", Album of the Year for I Am... Sasha Fierce, and Song of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)".
Back to my favourites...
Kelly Clarkson's fourth studio album, All I Ever Wanted, is nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. I totally, totally, totally love this album. I don't care much about its competition (The E.N.D., Breakthrough, The Fray, and Funhouse - well, except Funhouse) and I really, really, really want Kelly to win!
Kelly Rowland, on the other hand, is nominated for her collaboration with French DJ David Guetta - i.e. When Love Takes Over, which became a Song of the Moment in my house - in the Best Dance Recording category. She and Guetta face stiff competition from the Black Eyed Peas (Boom Boom Pow), Lady Gaga (Poker Face), Madonna (Celebration), and Britney Spears (Womanizer), though. All the nominated songs are so darn catchy!
You can view the rest of the nominees here. The ceremony will be held on January 31, 2010, and will be aired on CBS from 8 PM (Eastern/Pacific).

Huh.
You Are Fantasy / Sci Fi |
You have an amazing imagination, and in your mind, all things are possible. You are open minded, and you find the future exciting. You crave novelty and progress. Compared to most people, you are quirky and even a bit eccentric. You have some wacky ideas. And while you may be a bit off the wall, there's no denying how insightful and creative you are. |
Is that why I'll always love Tolkien and Stephen King's The Stand and The Dark Tower? Hehehe...
Where's My Italian Language DVD Thingy?
You Are Italian |
Ah, you are a true romantic. You enjoy all of the sensual pleasures in love - delicious food, soul stirring music, a beautiful sunset... And you always seem to be able to find the words to describe each experience perfectly. You are a charming and seductive person. You just have that certain something that draws people to you. You are passionate about words. Words can easily inspire, delight, or anger you. It's sometimes all about how something was said. |

FOX Hates Gleeks Who are Also LOST Addicts Without DVRs
According to Entertainment Weekly's Kate Ward, FOX has announced its mid-season schedule. Two items caught my eye and made my blood boil:
- Glee's fall finale airs on December 9th, and my favourite new comedy will return on April 13th, same time period.
If you look at your calendars, April 13th is a Tuesday! A TUESDAY!!! As I reported last Thursday, LOST's final season premieres on February 2nd - also a Tuesday. I was so happy then, because Glee and LOST won't conflict with each other. Now FOX ruined it by moving Glee to LOST Day (and time period)! What the heck??? Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- After Fringe's winter finale on February 4th, it will return on April 1st.
This one actually isn't so bad, definitely not like the first one. It pisses me off that Fringe will take a seven-week hiatus. Since it's returning on the same weeknight (i.e. Thursday), it didn't make me react like the first one. But still.
I wonder if FOX scheduling executives can still change their minds and keep Glee on Wednesdays. Hmmmm...

I Want to Flash Forward to February 2, 2010!!!
FEBRUARY 2, 2010!!!!!!
Yes, it's a Tuesday (check your calendars).
Per ABC's official press release (reprinted on DarkUFO), it's going to be a three-hour premiere event.
- 8 to 9 PM: Recap show
- 9 to 11 PM: Two-hour season premiere, "LA X"
The only downside to this premiere event is that I'm gonna miss an episode of The Good Wife (unless it's on hiatus or something). I'm so glad The Good Wife is not heavily serialized, so it won't really matter, especially if I can watch it online on GlobalTV.
It means there's really no downside to this schedule then!
Beginning February 9, LOST airs from 9 to 10 PM.
This has been a day full of LOST scoops, courtesy of writer/executive producer/showrunner Carlton Cuse's Twitter updates. [SPOILER ALERT!] Click here for the scoop on the former castmember who is returning. Click here and here for his official announcements regarding LOST Season 6.
Is it possible to be more psyched for LOST than I already am?

LOST Season 6 is Incomplete Without...
I can't believe it skipped my radar. But DocArzt's open letter now makes sense.
E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos has confirmed that Maggie Grace is, indeed, the only original LOST castmember who has not accepted the offer to reprise her role as Shannon Rutherford in the final season.
Here's what I said about the possibility that the holdout could be Maggie:
Maggie Grace? Per DarkUFO's Media Mentions section, Maggie is filming an indie drama entitled Flying Lessons and is scheduled to film the untitled Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz thriller this month. Per E! Online, she is open to return as Shannon but is neither confirming nor denying anything.
Indeed, her rep said it was because she just finished filming three movies. In addition to the indie drama Flying Lessons and the Cruise-Diaz thriller Knight and Day, she also did a movie with Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker entitled The Experiment. Per IMDb, the film also features Fisher Stevens who played George Minkowski on LOST.
Can't she take a few days off from her sizzling movie career to shoot some scenes for LOST's final season?
It would be a shame to watch LOST's sixth and final season with one original castmember missing. I'm sure I'm not alone here, but I would love to see Shannon Rutherford back on LOST, even for one episode. Please, Maggie? Pretty, pretty please?
Also, I'm curious as to why Maggie is credited in LOST Season 6 premiere, "LA X," on IMDb if she has not signed on. Is it another goof on IMDb's part? A wishful thinking from an IMDb user who's also a LOST/Shannon fan? Hmmmm...

Sony Blu-Ray Player Out-of-Stock? No Problem!
The women in my family went to Wal-Mart last night to get our electronics using my sister's 20% employee discount. My niece got an HP Mini Notebook that was listed at CDN$328. My sister paid approximately CDN$294, excluding any environmental fees and including GST & PST.
However, my Sony BDPS360 Blu-Ray Player was not on the shelf! I looked high and low for it, but all I found was a Sony DVD Player. There were other Blu-Ray players: Samsung and LG. I thought, "What am I gonna do? Order it from Amazon? Find another auction on eBay? Abandon the idea altogether? Or buy a Blu-Ray Player from a different brand?" I looked at my sister, who was waiting for me at the counter.
I grabbed the giant LG box and plopped it on the counter.
It's an LG BD370C Blu-Ray Player. It was easy to connect to my Toshiba TV. The picture is so much better since there is an option to watch a disc (standard DVD or Blu-Ray) in Cinema mode. Standard DVDs - Wanted, for example - are also up-scaled so they look better onscreen. You can also play standard CDs - Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted, for example - although you'd need an Internet connection to get the track names and you'd need the TV to actually listen to the songs. You can also view pictures and films, as well as listen to music, from a USB flash drive. With an Internet connection - which my Blu-Ray player doesn't have right now, because I lent my router to my brother-in-law - you can watch YouTube videos, as well as download content through BD-Live. I just have to figure out how to get Internet connection in there and I can fully enjoy my Blu-Ray player.
Oh, it's listed price was CDN$218. My sister hasn't shown me the receipt, but I expect to pay her CDN$195, excluding any environmental fees and including GST & PST. That would be CDN$10 less than I would have paid if I got the Sony BDPS360 Blu-Ray Player.
Now I hope December 8th gets here sooner so I can have my LOST Season 5 Blu-Ray Disc set!

All I Want for Christmas Is...
November has begun and there are only 48 days before Christmas!
Aside from $25,000, I would like to get any of the following:
BlackBerry Curve 8520, Black or Lavender
If I can't get a BlackBerry Storm from Rogers Wireless, this is the next best thing. Right? Spending $49.99 for a three-year plan shouldn't be so bad. The hardware upgrade cost almost two years ago was huge, though. That was only for a BlackBerry Pearl, which was popular back then (i.e. in 2007). The hardware upgrade fees must be crazy-high for this one. Hope not!
Y: The Last Man by Brian K. Vaughan (Art by Pia Guerra and Jose Marza, Jr.)
Brian K. Vaughan wrote for LOST from Seasons 3 to 5, as well as two Lost: Missing Pieces mobisodes. Four of the episodes he co-wrote ("Catch-22," "Confirmed Dead," "The Shape of Things to Come," and "Dead Is Dead") are some of my favourite LOST episodes of all time. "King of the Castle" is one of the strongest Lost: Missing Pieces mobisodes. Obviously, he's a great writer.
After it was referenced on LOST 5x06 ("316"), Nikki Stafford included a synopsis of the series in her Finding Lost - Season 5: The Unofficial Guide (page 116-120). In it, she declares,
Another LOST fan, Stephen King also loved the series. He says,
What more do I need to know about this award-winning series? Now, all I need is the location of a comic book store that has all - I repeat, ALL - 10 volumes.
Sony BDPS360 Blu-Ray Disc Player
Dang that LOST University ARG. Why does it cater to those who have Blu-Ray players? So, I want one. Heck, as a LOST fan, I need one.
I've been looking for the cheapest Sony Blu-Ray player online. I lost an eBay bidding for an earlier model of a Sony Blu-Ray player (BDPS350, I believe). It costs CDN$228 at Wal-Mart, where my sister works. She will probably buy this for me during the store's customer appreciation two-week event, when her discount rate increases to 20% and her kids and I can buy our electronics. I will, of course, reimburse her for the total cost (approximately CDN$205, including GST and PST).
Wonder if I'm gonna get any of these? Hehehe...
Advanced Merry Christmas!

Happy Halloween!
I'm not dressing up for Halloween.
Yep, that's right. I've never been into dressing up, so I'm not gonna bother today.
If I were forced to do so, however, I'd just wear a dark tank top, cargo pants, and hiking boots or shoes. Then I'd get a toy rifle from the dollar store and let my super-long hair down. I'd also have a black cross-body bag.
(Pic courtesy of Lostpedia)
I'd be LOST's Danielle Rousseau when the castaways first meet her in 2004. Wehehehehehe...

In This Week's Ask Ausiello...
Have you read this week's Ask Ausiello over at EW.com? If you haven't, then click here and read the whole thing now! If you don't mind some spoilers, that is.
Pay special attention to this part:
Question: I have a really fun assignment for you, Aus. Create a chart listing every Lost alum there ever was, and then next to their names, tell us where things stand in terms of them returning for the final season. I just know how much you love to make lists. —Steven
Ausiello: I have a better idea: Let’s scrap the chart and forget we ever had this conversation. In return, I’ll share this Lost nugget with you: I hear Team Darlton will give us the answer to one of Lost’s oldest and most confounding mysteries. And I’m pretty sure it’s an answer none of us expected to get.
Which mystery?! Which one?!
Is it Adam and Eve? Doubt it. Is it the Whispers? Hmmm... Libby? Her place in the mythology is still unclear. We've got no clear background whatsoever. The Numbers? The Smoke Monster? Is it the Ruins (see "The Brig")? Is it the Black Rock? Richard Alpert? The more information about Ricardus, the better! Is it the Hurley Bird? A large bird seemed to call out Hurley's name in both "Exodus, Part 2" and "Live Together, Die Alone" - a.k.a. the Seasons 1 and 2 finale. Is it the Temple? Is it Richard Malkin, as in Claire's psychic? Is it the mysterious painting in Ben's house that looks a lot like Juliet? Is it the cause of the fertility problems?
Which one?

Who Wouldn't Want to Return to LOST?
What is this rumour I'm hearing that a former LOST castmember has declined to return to the show for its final season?
That's nuts. Besides scheduling conflicts, there's no good reason to decline an offer to appear on LOST's sixth and final season. Right?
According to E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, this former Lostie is an original cast member, which rules out Mira Furlan (who portrayed Danielle Rousseau up to episode 4x08, "Meet Kevin Johnson" and who turned down a request to return, per EW.com's Michael Ausiello). We can also rule out Harold Perrineau, Jr., who claimed that no one has contacted him about anything related to LOST Season 6 and that he will return if asked to do so, and Ian Somerhalder, who revealed to Entertainment Weekly's Mandi Bierly that he was en route to Oahu when they spoke about The Vampire Diaries last month. Emilie de Ravin is confirmed to return in Season 6 after her Season 5 hiatus.
So, who is it?
So, who is it?

So, who is it?
- Malcolm David Kelley? He played 10-year-old Walt when he was 12. He recently appeared in episode 5x07 ("The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham") as 15- or 16-year-old Walt. If the reset rumours are true, then going back to play a 10-year-old kid would be difficult for Malcolm.
- Maggie Grace? Per DarkUFO's Media Mentions section, Maggie is filming an indie drama entitled Flying Lessons and is scheduled to film the untitled Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz thriller this month. Per E! Online, she is open to return as Shannon but is neither confirming nor denying anything.
- Dominic Monaghan? Before he was confirmed as a series regular on FlashForward, he appeared in an ABC House promo (with Patrick Dempsey, Courtney Cox-Arquette, and Ed O'Neill) and seemed to reference Charlie Pace's tear-gland-draining death. Of course, it may actually refer to his mysteriously bad-ass character on FlashForward, but it may also refer to Charlie. Like Maggie, he is open to return to LOST but is neither confirming nor denying anything.
- Greg Grunberg? He was only there for the pilot episode, but a reset (if the rumours are, in fact, true) would not be complete without Capt. Seth Norris, who survived the plane crash but was killed by the Smoke Monster. A while back, he asked his Twitter followers if they want to see him on LOST again. He didn't announce the "poll results," but I imagine most of them said, "Heck, yeah," or something to that effect.
- Kimberley Joseph? She plays Cindy Chandler, the only surviving Oceanic Flight 815 crewmember. We last saw Cindy in Season 3 as Zach and Emma's guardian. I have no idea whether she has been approached to reprise her role or not.
So, who is it?

There's a Reason I Don't Like Baseball...
Grrrr!
For at least two weeks, there will be no new Fringe episode due to post-season baseball. According to FringeTelevision's calendar, Fox will re-air the Season 2 premiere, "A New Day In The Old Town," on October 22nd IF there's no ALCS Game 5. The next week, October 29th, there will be no episode at all due to World Series Game 2. The following week, November 5th, episode 2x06 ("Earthling") may be aired IF there's no World Series Game 7. If so, episode 2x06 will be aired on November 12th. That's four weeks after the last new episode. FOUR WEEKS!
My Geek Thursday (FlashForward at 8pm and Fringe at 9pm) will be incomplete for at least one week. Three, if I discount the rerun of the Season 2 premiere and if there's World Series Game 7.
God could possibly have arranged this so I can focus on Assignment 4 (the last one!). Possible, right?
*Sigh* Oh well...

Glee Jam Sessions
This is one of my favourite moments in Glee episode 1x07 ("Throwdown"). It's a shame the audio isn't available on iTunes. Also a shame that the following clip is the most decent one I could find: video quality isn't so good, but the audio is fine.
Thanks to YouTube user snottlebie7 for the clip!
Has Finn (played by Canadian hottie Cory Monteith) ever played the drums on the show? I can't remember. Has Puck (played by Mark Salling) ever played the guitar? I can't remember either.
Oh, well. I might have to get the episode from iTunes to be able to watch this episode - a strong one, thanks to Jane Lynch's awesomeness - and the jam session anytime I want.

TLC Effectively Axes Jon & Kate Plus 8
People.com reports that TLC is putting Jon & Kate Plus 8 to rest.
Thank God.
It's about time too. After Jon and Kate Gosselin announced their split - heck, probably even before then - the show ceased to be about two parents raising two sets of multiples. It became the nasty divorce being played out on North American television.
Let's just hope the children grow up to be more sensible than their parents.
For those who still care, according to People and The New York Post, the network will air all remaining episodes before filming ends next month.

I Still Want a BlackBerry Storm...
You Are a Blackberry |
You are one of those super hard working, cellphone to your hip types. You like gadgets that do what they're supposed to do, especially when they keep you super connected to the world. You prefer function over flash, so things like a long battery life and easy features appeal to you. You may not look as cool as all of the iPhone kids, but you're probably being more productive than all of them! If you answered mostly As, you want a BlackBerry to tap into its leading-edge enterprise functions and cross-carrier flexibility. If you answered mostly Bs, pick up a sleek and sexy iPhone for a stylish, customizable mobile experience. |
When will the BlackBerry Storm be available for Rogers Wireless subscribers? When???

Thank God for Work Share Days
I am so glad I'm off today, thanks to the EI Work Share Program.
I caught Kelly Clarkson on The View! Woot woot!
Check out this YouTube video (yes, it's already up):
Thanks to YouTube user TooWeirdToFunction for the clip.
Wasn't she awesome? I love it when she said that she failed her own iPhone Open Mic app. I was seriously laughing my butt off.
Here's a clip of her "Already Gone" performance:
Thanks again to YouTube user TooWeirdToFunction for the clip.
Now, I'm singing her song. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets stuck in my head (it'll join the songs from last night's Glee).
I love Work Share Days. I'd love 'em even more if I could see the EI payments on my bank statement. (Come on, it's taking forever!)

Snap Emmy Judgments from a West-Coaster
It's Emmy day!!!
Of course, West-Coasters are usually the last to know in North America about award show winners. So tweeting or changing my Facebook status as winners are announced is obviously futile. Plus my Twitter timeline and my Facebook news feed would be very spoiler-iffic.
I am still holding out hope that LOST will win something, considering it went 0-for-2 (Single-Camera Picture Editing and Sound Mixing) at the Creative Emmys that was held last week.
Snap reactions to the winners:
UNTELEVISED AWARDS
Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special: The 31st Annual Kennedy Center HonorsDidn't see this one. Congrats anyway!
Outstanding Reality Program: Intervention
Well-deserved. It's a show who tries to help addicts and the like turn their lives around and live a better life.
COMEDY
I was hoping for Kristen Wiig or Amy Poehler. They were extraordinarily good. They were both robbed!
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS WAS ROBBED!!! 'Nuff said.
Well, she plays four characters in her show. That is all I need to know. I would be happy if Tina Fey or Julia Louis-Dreyfuss won, but I'm so happy for Toni!
Outstanding Guest Actress: Tina Fey, Saturday Night Live
She's awesome. 'Nuff said.
Outstanding Guest Actor: Justin Timberlake, Saturday Night Live
Eh. Whatever. Kidding. They said he was hilarious, so I'll just take their word for it. (Who's "they"? *Wink wink*)
Outstanding Lead Actor: Alec Baldwin, 30 Rock
Oh. My. Gosh. JIM PARSONS WAS ROBBED!!!
Outstanding Director: Jeff Blitz, The Office
Congrats!
Outstanding Writer: Matt Hubbard, 30 Rock
I think I saw the "Reunion" episode for which he won. That was an awesome episode. Congrats!

REALITY
Outstanding Reality or Reality-Competition Host: Jeff Probst, Survivor
Congrats, Jeff. (Y'all know I'm not a fan of reality shows.)
Outstanding Reality-Competition Program: The Amazing Race
I can never get tired of this show. Booyah!
TV MOVIES/MINISERIES
Outstanding Supporting Actress: Shohreh Agdashloo, House of Saddam
Wow. I know this actress is good. She sounds like she's wheezing, though. Just sayin'.
Outstanding Supporting Actor: Ken Howard, Grey Gardens
Congrats, Mr. Howard. (Don't know him, sorry.) I love the end of his acceptance speech - when he dedicated his award to his wife, who's celebrating her birthday today. Called her Sunshine too. I want a man just like that.
Outstanding Lead Actor: Brendan Gleeson, Into the Storm
Congrats, Mr. Gleeson.
Outstanding Writer(s): Andrew Davies, Little Dorrit
Writers rule! (He wasn't there, so Jennifer Love Hewitt and Patricia Arquette accepted the award on his behalf.)
Outstanding Director: Dearbhla Walsh, Little Dorrit
Congrats, Ms. Walsh. Love your name.

OMFG, How I Met Your Mother was ROBBED!!!
Outstanding Drama Series: Mad Men
UNFAIR! UNFAIR! LOST WAS ROBBED!!! THE EMMY VOTERS REALLY, TRULY SUCK!!!

Fringe Season 2 Premiere Freakin' Rocked
Did y'all watch "A New Day In The Old Town"? Did you?
Wow. That was freaking amazing.
The first five minutes blew my mind. I kinda figured out what the dude was doing - i.e. shape-shifting - after the intro. (Hehe.) I didn't see The Observer, though, until I went to FringeTelevision.com (Fringe's DarkUFO).
And what is the true nature of Colonel Phillip Broyles and Nina Sharp's relationship??? That was shocking!
The new FBI agent, Amy Jessup, is kinda interesting. Her motivation for following Olivia's car crash wasn't explained, was it? Hmmm... Would that be explained later on? Also, it was interesting that she had a Bible with her when she was looking at the old (as in, Season 1) Fringe Division cases. What is the significance of that?
And that last scene? Oh. My. Gosh. So was Charlie Francis already dead when Amy and Peter found him - or shape-shifter him - standing over the dead nurse (or doctor???)? Or was it even before? I noticed the laundry cart when Charlie, Peter, and Amy were chasing after the shape-shifter.
Overall, the Season 2 premiere was pretty mind-blowing. No wonder: J.J. Abrams and Akiva Goldsman wrote the episode.
I'm already looking forward to next week's episode!!!
Wow. That was freaking amazing.
SPOILER ALERT!!!

Kelly Clarkson Gives Kanye West a Butt-Whoopin'
Kelly Clarkson posted a butt-whoopin' entry regarding Kanye West's egotistical behaviour last Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Actually, it was more like an open letter to Kanye - a badass one.
I love this part of the letter (in verbatim - i.e. EXPLICIT LANGUAGE WARNING):
She posted this yesterday at 4:16 AM, so she must have been holding it in since 6:30ish Sunday night. She could also be discussing it with her friends and decided to post this letter afterwards. Either way, this is full of the things that I omitted (e.g. the curse words) from my own blog post.
She ended her post with this:
I do think Kanye's childhood and upbringing may have something to do with his egotistical behaviour, but I think he was over-indulged or over-hugged when he was a kid. He didn't lack anything other than a whole lot of money. I think he was loved too much. This, in turn, made him believe that only his opinion matters.
I will say it again because it is most likely true: he may have apologized to everyone he pissed off, but he will do this again. He will ruin someone's moment again because he doesn't agree with it. His ego demands it.

What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough?? Something must have happened to make you this way and I think we’re all just curious as to what would make a grown man go on national television and make a talented artist, let alone teenager, feel like shit. I mean, I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you. The best part of this evening is that you weren’t even up for THIS award and yet you still have a problem with the outcome. Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??You go, girl!

I wouldn't be surprised if this were true - that Kanye may have been bitter about a teenage country singer outselling him.Taylor Swift, you outsell him ….that’s why he’s bitter. You know I love your work! Keep it up girl!
