Give Up The Funk!

After four weeks without watching Glee, I finally caught a new episode on its original broadcast. Last night's new episode gave me two new favourite songs.

Such a fun song! I wanted to get up and dance the whole time. Loved it!

It got very hot in my bedroom when Will Schuester sang this song to Sue Sylvester. That Matthew Morrison is very sexy.

I'm still sad that last night was the second Tuesday night without LOST. *Sigh*

Glee and Julianna Margulies Triumph at Golden Globes

John Lithgow and Chloe Sevigny may have beaten Michael Emerson (LOST's Benjamin Linus) and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother's Barney Stinson) and Jane Lynch (Glee's Sue Sylvester), respectively, but two upsets made me very, very, very happy.

Julianna Margulies, lead of my favourite Tuesday drama The Good Wife, beat Glenn Close (Damages), January Jones (Mad Men), Anna Paquin (True Blood) and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama award. That is freaking awesome. Especially when she kissed George Clooney (who played her ER husband) on the way to the stage. Everyone was saying January Jones would win, but Julianna did. Congrats!!!

On the other hand, Glee - the little show that could - beat 30 Rock, Modern Family, Entourage, and The Office for the Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical award. Woo hoo!!! Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele, and Jane Lynch may have lost in their individual categories, but their awesome show won the big award. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

Other winners that made me smile are:

• Toni Collette (United States of Tara) - Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical

• Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner (Up in the Air) - Best Screenplay - Motion Picture
• Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) - Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture
• Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side) - Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama

I would have loved to see The Hurt Locker, Up in the Air, Inglourious Basterds, or Precious win the Best Motion Picture - Drama award, but the Hollywood Foreign Press Association shockingly chose Avatar. I'm sure it's awesome, but more awesome than the other films in the category? Really? Also, Kathryn Bigelow or Quentin Tarantino should have won Best Director - Motion Picture.

On the comedy side, I was hoping for (500) Days of Summer or Julie & Julia, but The Hangover won instead. Oh, well.

I wish that some Golden Globes nominees weren't lumped in their categories, as a comedic performance by a certain actor is a different animal from another actor's dramatic performance.

Thank God for hotties Matthew Fox (whose Jack Shephard was totally out-bearded by William Hurt and Jon Hamm), Matt Damon (who sadly lost his two categories), Matthew Morrison, Joshua Jackson, and George Clooney!

Lastly, LOST'd be better recognized next year or else... (Hehehehe.) And, oh, Jim Parsons, John Noble, and Jane Lynch.

Glee Jam Sessions

This is one of my favourite moments in Glee episode 1x07 ("Throwdown"). It's a shame the audio isn't available on iTunes. Also a shame that the following clip is the most decent one I could find: video quality isn't so good, but the audio is fine.

Oh, well. I might have to get the episode from iTunes to be able to watch this episode - a strong one, thanks to Jane Lynch's awesomeness - and the jam session anytime I want.

I Love Glee!!!

I'm addicted to Glee - especially its soundtrack.

Four months ago, I watched the pilot and actually liked it. Hotties Matthew Morrison and Cory Monteith certainly helped. Of course, the performances in the pilot were freakin' awesome.

Glee returned tonight - as in, Wednesday at 9 PM - with a great episode. I loved the "Push It" and "Take A Bow" performances. My favourite, however, is the cast's version of "Gold Digger" (originally by Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx).

Of course, as I've mentioned before, I will have to sacrifice Glee when LOST comes back. But that's still four or five months away, so I will enjoy Glee while I can.

Foxy Breaks Radio Silence

WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT!!!

Matthew Fox, who plays Jack Shephard, broke radio silence during the 49th Monte-Carlo Film Festival. As many of us have guessed, the sixth and final season will show the aftermath of Juliet detonating Jughead's core. Foxy added that it will develop in a way that is "very surprising - and probably very confusing, initially, to the audience." He also said that the two separate timelines - 1977, when the majority of the main characters are, and 2007, when Flocke/Anti-Jacob, Locke's body, Jacob, Sun, Ben, Frank, Richard, Ilana, Bram, et cetera are - "are going to be solidified into one, and we will be operating in a more linear time, to the end of the series," by the fifth or sixth episode (as in, a third of the way into the season). He also said, "I do know how the show's going to end, I know what the last images will be," and hinted that it will lead to "a final conflict." But he also mentioned that Jack and Locke "will come head-to-head again" - how can that happen if Locke is still dead? Will Jack take on Anti-Jacob for some noble reason? Or will John Locke be resurrected on the Island? I think the former is very likely, especially if you consider Flocke's face when Jacob said, "They're coming." Foxy also said that Damon, Carlton, and the rest of the writers "will prove that they did know all along where they were heading with it... All the pieces will come back into play." He also wisely acknowledged that, "[y]ou're not going to please all the people all the time."

What shall we make of these statements? While I'm not saying that he's lying and it's entirely possible that Darlton did tell him what's going to happen in Season 6, I wonder whether Darlton told him a rough outline or one that has a bit of specifics. I understand why Darlton would tell him something - he's the protagonist of the show - but did they tell anyone else in the cast?

Regardless, Foxy's statements make Season 6 look very interesting, don't they?

Well, let's hope Damon and Carlton will shed some light on these hints on the final (WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!) LOST Panel at Comic-Con 2009.

Condo Hunt: HGTV Canada Contest and Rockport Update

I love HGTV Canada's TD Canada Trust First-Timer Mondays. I get to watch two episodes of Property Virgins, House Hunters, and Income Property (yes, the one with the hottie host).

Also, there is an open contest sponsored by TD Canada Trust, where a lucky person - hopefully, me - will win $25,000 for renovating, redecorating, or purchasing a home. Dude, $25,000! I can pay $20,000 downpayment and have enough money for closing costs.

Of course, I entered and I am now fervently praying that I win. If I did, then I don't have to get a little financial help from my brother. Yay!

Speaking of which, I don't think he wants to lend me any money. We've been e-mailing each other about it, and I have answered most of his probing questions so far. Apparently, he's still not satisfied. Actually, he did say he can lend me some, but when I asked him to raise the amount, he doesn't want to lend me money anymore. His apparent unwillingness to help me out is negatively affecting my hopes of getting the Rockport unit. It's taking him forever to directly tell me either yes or no. In turn, it's taking me forever to register an offer on the property. I just heard from my realtor that someone has put an offer on the unit yesterday.

Oh, well. If that buyer gets the place, then I guess it's just not mean to be. But, where else can I find a great place that is close to transit, Superstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, my doctor, and my dentist? Argh!

Jack Shephard: AOL Television's Third Greatest TV Doc

Yes, Jack Shephard refused to operate on a young Benjamin Linus. Sure, he's not exactly the best general practitioner, especially on the Island.

But, after the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, he started helping and treating everyone once he emerged from the jungle. Also, he removed Ben's tumour with only a few problems (i.e. Jack deliberately cutting a small incision in Ben's kidney sac, Jack revealing that Juliet wanted to let Ben die, and Jack nicking an artery). Well, he was trying to save Kate and Sawyer.

Off-Island, he fixed Sarah's broken back. He also pulled Mrs Arlen and her son out of their burning vehicle. Well, he caused it, but if he didn't, he would have committed suicide and would never have come back to the Island.

That's why Dr Jack Shephard - former spinal surgeon and currently DHARMA workman on the best TV show ever - was picked as one of the "best and brightest in our preferred provider network of the 20 best TV doctors of all time" by AOL Television.

"Stuck in an oversized sandtrap, unflappable Dr. Jack leads the crash survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 on their bizarre island adrift in time and space. And curiously, by becoming lost, Jack finds the leader within. Turns out, he's only truly lost when he returns to civilization -- only the island can give this spinal surgeon some backbone. Go figure."

*Sigh* If only Jack knew what his destiny in 1977 Island already...

Anyway, my other favourite doctors on the list are Dr Miranda Bailey (Grey's Anatomy), Dr Gregory House (House), Dr Doug Ross (the just ended ER), Dr James Kildare (Dr Kildare), Dr Frasier Crane (Frasier), and Dr Douglas "Doogie" Howser (Doogie Howser, MD).

And, oh, my favourite Dr Jack Shephard moment is depicted in the following photo (thanks to Lostpedia):


After Jack and Kate found Charlie hanging from a tree, Jack tried his darnedest to save him. Even if Charlie appeared dead (uh-oh, one of his really close calls with death), he did not let go and pounded Charlie's chest to revive him. It was one of the most harrowing and emotional moments in LOST. And it is one of the reasons I like Dr Jack Shephard.

Alpha Male Madness: Vote for Sayid!!!

Crap. I didn't get to vote for the Alpha Male Madness, Round 4! It's been a busy week and I've been coming home super exhausted.

But even without my help, Sayid Jarrah still beat James "Sawyer/LaFleur" Ford. It must be the purple shirt. Hehehehehe...

On to the Final Four: Eric Northman (True Blood), Sam & Dean Winchester (Supernatural), and the most bad-ass torturer/assassin on TV - Sayid Jarrah.

E! Online's Alpha Male Madness Round 3: Jack vs Sayid, Sawyer vs Peter Bishop

If it ain't torture, I don't know what is.

Benjamin Linus and John Locke were knocked out of the E! Online's Alpha Male Madness, Round 2. Two of the remaining LOST men are battling each other, while the other LOST man is pitted against the male lead from Fringe. Yep, that's right: it's now Jack Shephard versus Sayid Jarrah, and James "Sawyer/LaFleur" Ford versus Fringe's Peter Bishop. How am I supposed to choose????

In the end, I chose Sawyer over Peter Bishop. I just re-watched "Namaste" (LOST 5x09) and I'm still feeling warm and fuzzy because Sawyer saved Jack & company's butts. And I haven't seen Peter Bishop on Fox since Fringe took a hiatus in favour of American Idol (coughgreedygreedygreedycough). Sorry, Peter; your share of the votes (41.7%) will take a while to catch up to Sawyer's 58.3%.

*Sigh* Why does E! Online have to pit Jack Shephard against Sayid Jarrah? Why??? I like both men - heck, I love both Jack and Sayid! They both have this tortured-tough-sexy-soulful-impulsive-thing going - to which I'm inexplicably drawn. So, in the end, I chose... Dr Jack Shephard. Only to learn that Sayid is beating Jack by 0.4%!!! Just zero-point-four percentage points!!!

Oh, well. They're both from LOST, so whoever wins won't really matter.

It's also sad to see that Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother lost, as well as Dr Owen "McBadAss" Hunt (Grey's Anatomy). On the other hand, I'm pleased to see that Dr Gregory House is beating Dr Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd by 13.6 percentage points. Hehehehehe... I've got nothing against McDreamy; I just think House is way more interesting.

But I'm still miffed that Desmond David Hume is not in any matchups in any round. What's up with that, Kristin?

The LOST Men Are TV's Alpha Males

Well, they should be anyway.

Calling all LOST fans, ladies, or both: vote for the LOST men on Round 2 of E! Online's Alpha Male Madness tournament!!!

The LOST boys - Jack Shephard, James "Jim LaFleur/Sawyer" Ford, John Locke, Benjamin Linus, and Sayid Jarrah - all moved on to Round 2 and they need your votes! Ben, Sawyer, Sayid, and Jack are doing well, but Locke seriously needs to beat Eric Taylor (played by Kyle Chandler on Friday Night Lights) in order to move on the next round.

Noticeably absent, though, is Desmond - I wonder why? Hmmm... At least, Peter Bishop (played by Joshua Jackson on Fringe) is there, battling Tim Riggins (played by Taylor Kitsch on Friday Night Lights) and winning (59.6% of the votes).

The toughest choice for me was Sayid Jarrah vs Dr Owen Hunt (played by Kevin McKidd on Grey's Anatomy). Dr Hunt was a great addition to the cast and is a worthy replacement for Dr Preston Burke (played by Isaiah Washington) in Dr Cristina Yang's (played by Sandra Oh) heart. Both men were in the military, tough and complicated. Smoking hot too. Obviously, I voted for Sayid. But it broke my heart - a little bit - that I had to chose someone else over Dr Hunt.

Go on, LOST fans/ladies. Stop reading this and vote for the LOST men and Peter Bishop!!!

Ah... The Joys of Listening to the DVD Audio Commentaries...

As part of my preparation for the DVD set release and the new season, I was re-watching Season 2 of LOST this weekend. I was listening to the audio commentaries as well.

Anyway, I was re-watching episode 2x16 - "The Whole Truth" - when Daniel Dae Kim (who was doing the commentary with co-star Yunjin Kim, and writers Elizabeth Sarnoff and Christina M. Kim) made a very interesting point.

In one scene, Jack had just stepped out of the shower. He found Locke shaving at the sink. (Thanks to LOST-Media.com for the screen caps.)



Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Jin-Soo Kwon, pointed out that Locke glanced down for a split second (see pic below).

Hahaha! I wonder why Locke did that... Was it scripted or what?!

Hehe.. I'm being naughty, but I swear I did not realise that until DDK pointed it out.

By the way, the DVD sets for LOST Seasons 1 to 3 are all available now. The Season 4 DVD set will be released on 9 December 2008.

And LOST will return on 21 January 2009 at 8/7 central for its fifth season!

According to Nicole Kidman, "Women's jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room." So true. He takes my breath away every time I see him on TV or on magazines. The man is simply too hot.

Either that, or one timeline/"flash" in LOST Season 5 will show Sawyer like that. Kinda doubt it, though. Still, he looks hot with the tattoos.

JC, I love you, but what the heck were you thinking? *Sigh* Why don't you set up your own record label, finish The Story of Kate, release it, and focus more on your music? It should keep you from choosing clothes that don't emphasize your good features (the beautiful blue eyes, the slim bod, et cetera). (Do I sound like Stacy London? Sorry, too much What Not To Wear.) And can you grow your hair already?

Todd Bertuzzi's Back In Canada!

A Canadian team signed my favourite NHL player, Todd Bertuzzi. The Vancouver Canucks? No. (I wish.) Toronto Maple Leafs? No. Ottawa Senators? No. Montreal Canadiens? Non. Edmonton Oilers? No.

Calgary Flames.

According to the Flames GM Daryl Sutter:

“Todd is a proven scorer with the ability to play both wings. He expressed to us that he wanted to play in Canada and that desire along with signing him to a one year deal was important to our philosophy. He wanted to play on a good team and it fit our money."

And here's my favourite part:

"Additionally, our captain, Jarome Iginla, was a strong supporter of Todd and wanted him on our team.”

I am not a Calgary Flames fan, but I rooted for them when the Canucks did not make the playoffs last season! And I respect Jarome Iginla: During the NHL Awards after Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup, Iginla was the only one who thanked God in his acceptance speech. Plus he is a good player and a nice guy. Not to mention, he's kinda hot.

I hope Bertuzzi stays healthy next season so he can improve his stats.

Trevor Linden Hangs Up His Skates

My all-time favourite Vancouver Canucks forward Trevor Linden is retiring, he announced today. Incidentally, today is the 20th anniversary of the 1988 National Hockey League Entry Draft, where he was drafted by the Canucks.

“Today is an emotional and exciting day for me as an athlete and a person. It closes one chapter of my life, my playing career, while opening up another which I am very much looking forward to. The game of hockey has been good to me and I would like to thank my family, former teammates, coaches, managers, support staff and the incredible fans that have been so generous in their support of my career.”

I've only been a hockey fan for six years, but I completely fell in love with Linden (as well as Todd Bertuzzi) the first time I watched a Canuck game on TV. He was a good leader for the younger Canucks. I love that he stepped up when Markus Naslund, a good captain as he is, wasn't being captain-y. I think it was in Round 1 of the 2006-2007 playoffs, when the Canucks were battling Dallas Stars. His pregame speech before the March 15th game against Dallas Stars led to the team beating the Stars in a big way. He's pretty hot, too.

His retirement is expected, but I'm still kinda sad.

I don't have the time and the energy to list all his accomplishments, on and off the ice, but y'all can see all of them in the official press release in the Vancouver Canucks official website.

There is also a feature article on the website on the 16 most memorable moments in Linden's career. (Of course, I love the number - it's the Numbers, man. *Wink wink*) This is my favourite moment, although I didn't see it for myself:

3. INFAMOUS
It is one of the all time great hockey photos and it captured everything about Trevor Linden and the effort required to play for the Stanley Cup. It’s the famous picture of an exhausted Linden, eyes closed and grimacing, with blood on his jersey and his arm around Kirk McLean at the end of Game 6 of the 1994 Stanley Cup Final. Linden appears to be leaning on his netminder as if he can barely stand up after the pounding he’s taken throughout the playoffs. It’s impossible to see that photo and not hear the words of the legendary Jim Robson: “He will play. You know he’ll play. He’ll play on crutches. He will play and he will play at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night.” Boy, did he ever.

I've seen this picture so many times, I feel like I was there!

Anyway, Linden will review his career in a one-hour special on June 23, 2008, at 9 PM on Sportsnet Pacific. I am totally watching this with at least one box of Kleenex.

Paging Dr. Feel-Good!

I think tonight's LOST episode, "Something Nice Back Home," is Jack-centric. And while he's battling appendicitis, Entertainment Weekly included him - as in, Jack Shephard - in the list of best TV doctors. I don't know when the photo gallery was released online, but I just found it today. (What kind of a LOST fan am I? He-he.)

Is there a doctor on the plane? Thank goodness there was on Oceanic Flight 815. The survivors would definitely be lost (sorry; couldn't resist), without Dr. De Facto Leader.

Anyway, guess how many pictures there are? Twenty-three. Yep, 23. It's the Numbers, man!

I Wish I Were Calleigh Duquesne

The recent episodes of CSI: Miami have made me very happy. It seems that my favourite pairing (Eric/Calleigh) has made some progress in their relationship.

Did you see Eric Delko's face? He looked so pissed off. It's like he was sending this message to Calleigh's abductor: "I will kill you for endangering Calleigh Duquesne." Fan-tas-tic!

Oh, one more thing: remember the initial CBS promos for the return of CSI: Miami after the strike? The one where they showed Calleigh wearing a wedding veil and Eric gazing at her with the smile that only Eric Delko could give? Yeah, a major fake-out. It turned out Eric and Calleigh were just recreating the scene! Here is the scene from "You May Now Kill The Bride" anyway:

On the other hand, my favourite CSI: NY pairing (Danny/Lindsay) is having a rough patch in their "relationship"! I've always thought them perfect for each other, although I haven't seen every step in the progression of their relationship. (LOST is my top priority, and Season 3 of both LOST and CSI: NY were on the same time slot - Wednesdays at 10 PM). According to the season three finale article from Wikipedia, Danny and Lindsay woke up on the pool table and a flashback showed that they slept with each other (yes, on the pool table).

Which should be great for them, right? Well, in the episode "Child's Play" (4x11), the son of Danny's neighbour was killed. In his grief and guilt, he slept with his neighbour, Rikki. The morning-after was depicted in the episode "Right Next Door" (aired on 9 April 2008). In the same episode, Danny declined Lindsay's lunch-date invitation, which hurt Lindsay. As shown in the following clip, she admitted that she has fallen in love with Danny and she confessed that she was mad at herself for that. She told Danny she has to figure out how to "let that go".





Dang! Where are they gonna go from here? Is it really the end for them? I hope not.

Todd Bertuzzi Kicks the Maple Leafs' Butt

While I was having a horrible day, Todd Bertuzzi was having a fantastic night.

He picked up three points - one goal and two assists - in Anaheim Ducks' win over the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

According to the game's box score page on Yahoo Sports, Bertuzzi scored his seventh goal of the season within three minutes of the first period. Then he and Ryan Getzlaf fed Anaheim's leading goal scorer, Corey Perry, the puck in the last ten minutes of the first period. Perry shot and scored! In the first four-and-a-half minutes of the third period, Bertuzzi and Getzlaf - again! - assisted in Brandon Bochenski's first goal.

Two power-play goals by Doug Weight and Chris Kunitz finished Anaheim's five-goal rout of the Leafs.

Woohoo!

Todd Bertuzzi ended up with nearly 17 minutes of ice-time and three points - his first since coming to Anaheim.

And, oh, he ended up as the first star of the game!

As I understand, when an NHL team wins in a shutout, the goaltender usually becomes the first star. (Correct me if I'm wrong; I've only been a hockey fan for almost six years.) In this case, my favourite ex-Vancouver Canuck right winger was recognized as the first star.

Yay!

Obviously, I'm a Todd Bertuzzi fan (d'oh) and I've always believed he'll go back to his butt-kicking self on ice. Hopefully there'll be more games like this.

Jack Shephard Speaks!

I chanced upon this Entertainment Weekly interview with Matthew Fox - the hottest actor to play an intense spinal surgeon on TV. He talked about the best season finale ever ("Through the Looking Glass"), his two new movies (Vantage Point and Speed Racer), and LOST's Season Four.

He also confirmed one of my theories regarding the season three finale. If you remember, while Jack was talking to (would arguing with be a better term?) the new Chief of Surgery, Dr. Rob Hamill (who's a hottie, by the way), he said this:

OK, I'll tell you what, you do this. You get my father down here, get him down here right now, and if I'm drunker than he is, you can fire me.

When asked about this, he answered:

He was so loaded and emotionally distraught that he talks about his father as if he's still alive.

And then he went on and described what Damon Lindelof told him and how it made sense. And it does, compared to what the other fans say - such as, the reason Christian's body was not in the coffin was that he was somehow brought back to life (by the Island? by Cerberus? by Jacob?) and that he is indeed alive in the flash-forward.

When asked about one of the mysteries generated by TTLG - the identity of the person in the coffin, the death of whom brought Jack to a suicide attempt - he replied:

It hasn't been revealed yet. I'm pretty sure I know who it is, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

Apparently, he got an answer from Damon, but who knows, the answer that he got may not be who it really is.

He was also asked about what we're going to expect in season four, with all the new characters created and the new cast members. I won't re-print it here. But that, of course, led to the most reviled characters in LOST (and probably all TV) history: Nikki Fernandez and the surname-less Paulo. He said, "Those characters didn't work for me from the very beginning." He called it an experiment, and he agreed with the virtually entire LOST fandom that it didn't work. Yay!

He also discussed the ripping that LOST got for its split season schedule, particularly the six-episode introduction to the major fun that began in "Not In Portland". Here's what he has to say about it:

I kind of liked that. There's something really frightening about when the bandwagon-jumping starts, when it's all the rage. That's when you're like, I don't believe that everybody that's doing this is a completely truthful Lost fan. So there's something cool about now — I know we've got 15 million people watching the show, and these people are the same 15 million that have been die-hards from Day One. Those are the ones that we're making it for.

Fantastic response! Of course, I'm one of those 15 million people.

He also talked about Racer X, his role in the film Speed Racer:

Racer X is all about mystery. And it's all about not just disguise of suit, but it's disguise of voice — he's, like, impenetrable....

I've actually seen a trailer of Speed Racer. With the black leather costume, Matthew Fox is even hotter. Although I probably won't see any Jackface with the black leather mask. Racer X looks like the exact opposite of Jack Shephard, which is absolutely fine. I may just not have the chance to smile and think, "Jackface," while I'm watching the movie.

But I think I will see at least one Jackface in his other movie, Vantage Point, which is set to be released on 22 February 2008 (wow, the 15th anniversary of my father's death). Look at this trailer I saw on YouTube.



He also talked about his film career.

There's no question. For me, it's more about my own quality of life. It's better for me to do films because it gives me much more flexibility in my life. I love the idea of becoming all-consumed in this one thing for four months, and then it's done, and I'm just floating around going, F---, I don't know what I'm doing next.

If you don't know this by now, I'm a big fan of Jack Shephard and Matthew Fox. No matter how flawed and how broken the character is, I still love him. Did I mention, he's hot too?

I cannot wait for Season Four! Twenty-seven days to go!

Like You'll Never See Me Again

I wore my uncomfortable muffin-top trousers today. It's not so uncomfortable this time. Maybe I was just super bloated the first time I wore these pants.

Anyway, my usual bus didn't show up this morning. That sucks, but it was an improvement from last time when two buses didn't show up; I was an hour late for work that day. So I thought I was going to be half an hour late today, which was all right; if my workload is light today, I can leave on the same time because I have enough OT hours to cover for that half-hour. So I just waited for the bus while listening to the Take The Lead soundtrack on my brand-spankin'-new iPod nano.

Speaking of which, I saw this iPod-nano-carrying hottie today. I saw him last on October 10th, and before that, on May 24th (the day after the LOST season-three finale and a few days before my birthday - very important events this year). He looked as hot as ever, making me smile and blush despite the cold and the mild anxiety (I don't want to be late!). Except for the possibility that he's older and/or emotionally unavailable (I've had enough of such men), he totally made my day.

So the SkyTrain ride to work went smoothly. I disembarked and ran down to the bus loop. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the iPod nano clock and discovered that it was barely eight o'clock! I wasn't late! So I got in at my usual time and I can leave at four-thirty. Freakin' brilliant. I don't want to miss this other hottie that I encounter on my way home. But that's another story.
