Also, rumour has it that Ms. Kelly's third studio album will be released on September 14th. I will wait until it's officially announced, though. I don't want to be burned when her new label delays the album release date so many times. And I hope her new album is awesome!

ABC Extends LOST Series Finale

I'm still grieving the deaths (yes, plural) in tonight's "The Candidate". Twenty minutes after the episode ended, I'm still crying. It's like when Charlie died in "Through the Looking Glass" and when Juliet died in "LA X". Oh, my  gosh. If you don't cry while watching tonight's episode, then you're made of stone.

At least I had to smile just a little bit when I read on EW.com that the LOST series finale - aptly titled "The End" - will become a two-and-a-half hour event. ABC has previously announced five hours of LOST series finale event on May 23rd starting from 7 PM - two hours of clip show entitled LOST: The Final Journey, two hours of the series finale proper, and one hour of post-finale special entitled Jimmy Kimmel Live!: Aloha to LOST. Now it's five-and-a-half hours of LOST awesomeness on May 23rd!

In addition, the penultimate episode airs on May 18th, five days before the finale. Lastly, ABC airs "Pilot, Part 1" and "Pilot, Part 2" on May 22nd. (Taking advantage of May sweeps, eh?)

Now, excuse me while I cry a little more and try to concentrate on tonight's V.

I Want to Flash Forward to February 2, 2010!!!

Breaking News: ABC has released the official premiere date for LOST's sixth and final season.

FEBRUARY 2, 2010!!!!!!

Yes, it's a Tuesday (check your calendars).

Per ABC's official press release (reprinted on DarkUFO), it's going to be a three-hour premiere event.

• 8 to 9 PM: Recap show
• 9 to 11 PM: Two-hour season premiere, "LA X"

The only downside to this premiere event is that I'm gonna miss an episode of The Good Wife (unless it's on hiatus or something). I'm so glad The Good Wife is not heavily serialized, so it won't really matter, especially if I can watch it online on GlobalTV.

It means there's really no downside to this schedule then!

Beginning February 9, LOST airs from 9 to 10 PM.

LOST @ D23 Expo

Today is the last day for the D23 Expo, the first Disney fan convention held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Apparently, some LOST-related goodies were revealed.

First up is the Season 6 poster unveiled at the last LOST panel at Comic Con 2009. Thanks to TheODI for posting the pic that lll4815162342lll Photoshopped together.

As you can see, the poster features most of the main characters (Daniel Faraday, Boone Carlyle, Miles Straume, Michael Dawson, Ana Lucia Cortez, Charlotte Staples Lewis, Shannon Rutherford, Desmond David Hume, Mr. Eko, Katherine Anne "Kate" Austen, Jack Shephard, James "Sawyer" Ford, Johnathan "John" Locke, Benjamin Linus, Sayid Jarrah, Elizabeth "Libby" Smith, Sun-Hwa Kwon, Jin-Soo Kwon, Claire Littleton, Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, Juliet Burke, Charlie Hieronymus Pace, and Richard "Ricardus" Alpert) and the three recurring but very important characters (Frank Lapidus, Bernard Nadler, and Rose Henderson-Nadler). There is one character missing, though: Walt Lloyd. Why is he missing from the poster? Will we ever see him again on LOST? Also, will we ever see the real John Locke - i.e. not the Man in Black/Flocke/Jacob's Nemesis - on LOST?

Anyway, a few of the actors whose characters have died are confirmed to appear in the final season. It is interesting that Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet), Dominic Monaghan (Charlie), and Ian Somerhalder (Boone) have new shows premiering this fall - i.e. V, Flash Forward, and The Vampire Diaries.

Next up is the appearance of Sterling Beaumon (young Benjamin Linus) and François Chau (Dr. Pierre Chang) on the Expo floor. Not as terribly exciting as the previous one, but they signed stuff that includes the official Season 6 promo poster. Click here to view the autographed Season 6 promo poster.

Next up is the LOST memorabilia auction next year. According to IGN, Profiles in History will handle the auction of LOST props and costumes sometime after the series finale in 2010. Included in the auction are Ben's fake passports, Hurley's lottery ticket, Faraday's journal, Sun's business card, Horace's DHARMA Initiative jumpsuit, eight DHARMA buses, Jack's Ford Bronco, and Hurley's Camaro. According to Joe Maddalena, president of Profiles in History,

"We're going to be selling it episode by episode, season by season, starting with the pilot. You can buy stuff specifically from a certain scene."

I wonder how much Faraday's journal could sell... Maybe I should bid for it? Hehehehe...

Last is Maddalena's bigger revelation: the date for the LOST series finale. Say what???!!! The final season premiere date has not even been announced, and there's already a date for the series finale??? Anyway, according to Maddalena, the LOST series finale will air on May 19, 2010 - no time reported. However, since ABC has not confirmed any date or timeslot related to LOST's final season, I will not mark that date yet on my Outlook/Windows Mail/Google/BlackBerry/iPod Touch calendar. Perhaps I would put a tentative label on it. One great thing about this date, though, is that it falls on a Wednesday, which means the show may return on its original timeslot - i.e. Wednesdays at 9 PM.

To tide us all over, there is an ongoing ARG featuring Paul Schreer and his artwork, particularly his Damon, Carlton, and a Polar Bear painting that he gave to Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse during the final LOST panel. I haven't been following it due to work, church, and WRIT 409, though. There is another ARG featuring the LOST University. Some of the courses sound like DVD bonus features - indeed, these would be included in a supplementary Blu-Ray disc that is presumably included in the Season 5 Blu-Ray release. A shame I don't have a Blu-Ray player, though. I did sign up for e-mail alerts, so I would be posting the e-mails once I get them.

Is it possible to be even more excited - and, at the same time, sadder - about LOST Season 6???

Fringe to Film Second Season in Vancouver?

This was just posted on EW.com an hour ago: Fringe may be filming in Vancouver, BC, Canada if it is picked up for a second season.

The series, which is set in Boston, is currently filming in New York. According to the article, the possibility that the State of New York's film/television production tax incentive program - "which just run out of funds" - will not be replenished by the state's governor, David Paterson, is the main reason for the potential move. Apparently, the $685 million budget for Fringe was expected to last until 2013, but is all used up. We all know J.J. Abrams does not make his shows cheap - judging from both LOST and Fringe's expensive pilot episodes, as well as million-dollar budgets per episode - so it is no surprise that all the allocated money for Fringe had been used up. Moreover, both California and Ottawa (which is Canada's capital and is in the Ontario province, in case you don't know) have started enticing productions with their own tax incentive programs.

Hmmm... How would I feel if I saw Joshua Jackson, Lance Reddick, or John Noble around the Greater Vancouver area? So happy and so excited, of course!

However, this is not set in stone, so I can't get excited just yet. As far as I know, FOX has not officially picked up Fringe for a second season. So there really is no reason to get excited at this point in time.

I'd probably throw a party if Fringe is picked up for a second season and if its filming moves to Vancouver. Maybe.

Ms. Kelly is "Better Without You," Mathew Knowles

It's about freaking time!

Kelly Rowland and Music World Entertainment have officially ended their professional relationship, BV Buzz of Black Voices Blogs reports.

Woohoo!!!

According to their joint statement, Ms Kelly says:

"Mathew Knowles has been a positive influence in my career. I have had great success under his guidance - both as a member of Destiny's Child and with my solo projects. Although we have decided to part ways professionally, the Knowles family and the entire Music World Entertainment team will always be my family."

Mathew Knowles, Beyonce's father and the head of Music World Entertainment, has this to say:

"After a very positive meeting between Kelly Rowland and myself, we have amicably agreed to end our professional relationship. My company, Music World, will continue to manage Destiny's Child as a group. As an artist, Kelly has incredible talent, and I only wish her the best. We will always be family first and foremost, and as a dad, I only have love for Kelly."

Rumours that Ms Kelly will be managed by 19 Entertainment after she's freed are kinda like jumping the gun. BV Buzz reports that Ms Kelly has not decided whom to hire as her new manager.

I did not know about the rumours that Ms Kelly's decision to leave Music World Entertainment has something to do with wanting to "approach her junior solo CD" - still with Columbia Records - "with a fresh start".

I can't wait already!

Also, BV Buzz reports that Ms Kelly has a show "being developed at the Style Network that is expected to launch before the end of the year". Rumour has it that she shot a pilot in Miami for a travel and lifestyle show called Around The World. Could be it.

So happy for Ms Kelly! She's finally free and she has a TV show being developed! Yay!

But who will be her new manager? Simon Fuller of 19 Entertainment? The Firm? Stay tuned.

More Unresolved Mysteries and Questions for Season 5

We all know that LOST is the kind of show that poses several questions for every mystery that it answers. I did not find a relevant article that posed the pre-Season 4 questions, so I did not do a recap like I did for Season 3.

I found this article from Yahoo! Canada, which posed five major questions that may be answered at the end of Season 5.

1. What happened to the Island?
2. How does Locke become Jeremy Bentham?
3. What's going on with Widmore and Ben?
4. Who the heck is Jacob?
5. What happened to Claire, Jin, and Michael?

What happened to the Island?

In the season-4 finale, "Other" boss Ben (Michael Emerson) turned a frozen wheel and - poof! - made the island disappear, along with Sawyer (Josh Holloway), Locke (Terry O'Quinn), Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) and other "Lost"-aways; the Oceanic Six fled on a helicopter. Ben - landing in North Africa - aimed to protect the island from arch-nemesis Charles Widmore (Alan Dale), who seeks to control it. The show has been exploring the space-time continuum, and that theme will be heightened this season in the search for the island.

Based on filming reports, cast interviews, and hints, it is very probable that the Island moved both in time and in space. Where it went is still unclear even with spoilers, but it is possible that the Island moved to the DHARMA Initiative heydays. Team Darlton has mentioned that Season 5 is about the DHARMA Initiative, whose members were killed in The Purge. Any ideas on where the Island moved?


How does Locke become Jeremy Bentham?

The cliffhanger revealed that Locke was "Jeremy Bentham." Under that alias, he apparently died after visiting Jack and some others who left the island with troubling news: They need go back. While visiting Locke's casket, a cryptic Ben tells Jack they must rally his fellow crash survivors - and return with Locke's lifeless body. Lucky for Jack, Ben always has a secret plan. Emerson tells New York magazine his bug-eyed alter ego will "carry on what seems to be his calling or his life's work or his war, whatever it is - I'm not sure exactly what it is." But it includes orchestrating a survivors' reunion.

I have no idea! But speaking of Locke, EW's Doc Jeff Jensen has a theory that is plausible and makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't be surprised if his theory turned out to be correct.

What's going on with Widmore and Ben?

Widmore is the wealthy industrialist who staged the fake plane crash of Oceanic 815 and ordered a team of mercenaries on a mission to find the island and kill everyone on it. Widmore and Ben appear to have a deep-seeded rivalry, deepened further after Widmore's agents murdered Ben's daughter in cold blood. Off the island, Ben recruited Oceanic Six survivor Sayid (Naveen Andrews) as an assassin; he also dropped by Widmore's home in the wee hours, vowing to kill his daughter as revenge. Whatever game they're playing, it has rules - and Ben says Widmore has broken them. One possible rule: Widmore and Ben cannot kill each other. That would be a very Harry Potter/Voldemort-esque plot twist.

My theory is that Widmore is either a descendant of Magnus Hanso or one of the original Hostiles. Either way, he was forced to move the Island and is, therefore, banished from it. Of course, this theory is based on Widmore's declarations in the last scene of episode 4x09, "The Shape of Things to Come" ("I know who you are, boy. What you are. I know that everything you have you took from me," and "That island's mine, Benjamin. It always was. It will be again."). But I don't think Widmore would say those if they were baseless, would he?


Who the heck is Jacob?

We've never seen Jacob, though he seems to be the all-knowing island messiah. The shadowy character lives in a creaky cabin that moves around a lot, hates technology and has communicated to the Others through Ben. Last season, Ben brought Locke to the cabin; Locke could not see Jacob but heard him say, "Help me." After Widmore's men stormed the barracks, Ben and Locke visited Jacob again - this time, Jacob spoke to Locke through a representative, Jack's ghost-daddy Christian (John Terry), who said to move the island. Ben, sensing that he'd been replaced by Locke, did the deed and peaced out. As far as we can tell, Jacob has unknown powers, dead people for friends and a cabin fever that keeps him locked in. Online theories abound: Is Jacob an ancient supercomputer, a divine entity, a superhuman being? Expect the unexpected, and expect to see more of him this season.

All I know is that we would see Jacob's likeness in some way. We may probably see more of him in Season 5. It is actually hard to tell because we've seen very little of him. Right now, I don't subscribe to any theory regarding Jacob. Let's wait and see.


What happened to Claire, Jin, and Michael?

Claire (Emilie de Ravin), who we recently learned is Jack's half-sister, seemed to survive a house fire - but then things got weird. She walked off in the jungle with her (un)dead father Christian. The next time we see them, she's in the shack with Jacob, acting creepy. As for Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) and Michael (Harold Perrineau), they presumably died on the freighter when it exploded. In an earlier flash-forward, Jin's wife, Sun, was shown at his memorial in Korea. Some bloggers speculate he'll turn up in early episodes, dead or alive, this season. If he perished in the blast, maybe we'll see him cavorting with Jacob, Christian and other ghost people.

Michael is definitely dead. In Season 4, he told Sayid that he was on the freighter to die. Before the freighter exploded, our favourite Undead Daddy Christian Shephard told him, "You can go now," which presumably meant that the Island is letting him die (he has attempted to kill himself several times after he returned to Manhattan). However, being dead on LOST doesn't mean that the character will never be seen again, right?

Claire and Jin's fates, on the other hand, are not so definite. Claire may or may not have died when an RPG destroyed her house in the Barracks. Mistaking Sawyer for Charlie when she came to and ghostbuster Miles's behaviour toward her make it difficult for the audience to tell what really happened to her. It is also baffling that Claire left her son Aaron in the middle of the jungle and her demeanour in Jacob's cabin is not helping either. I think I'll have to wait and see.

Jin seemed to die when the freighter exploded. He may have jumped into the ocean just before the freighter blew up; he may not have. But as I mentioned before, I think Sun would have a stronger motivation to go back to the Island if Jin is indeed alive. I did see something on one of the Dharma Special Access videos that may validate my theory (i.e. that Jin is alive). Either way, he will appear on Season 5 - based on rumours and filming reports anyway. But I still maintain the belief that Jin is alive!

Well, there you go. Hopefully, at least one of these questions will be answered by the end of Season 5. After the season finale, I will go back and recap any answers that the show gave for these questions.

Incidentally, LOST blogger Jopinionated just posted an extensive list of theories and questions for each character. Check it out, y'all! Apparently, "extensive" is an understatement. Hehehe...

LOST Season 5 begins in two days! Remember, it starts with a recap show at 8/7 central on ABC. The season premiere, "Because You Left," begins at 9, followed by episode 5x02, "The Lie".

Update on "My Life Would Suck Without You" Release Date

Kelly Clarkson herself revealed when her single "My Life Would Suck Without You" will be released to radio: 13 January 2009.

Her Friday blog post title alone told the tale. And then she went on to say this:

"i think it’s 4 more days and my first single drops at radio and i’m super super pumped!!"

Yay!!! I can't wait!!!

The Sound of Silence...

This blogger made a very good point: why are Mathew Knowles and Kelly Rowland silent regarding the management switch rumour?

Ms Kelly's publicist immediately addressed the rumours that her Miami home is in foreclosure. According to the "official" statement, the rumours aren't true and that Ms Kelly is selling her house since she's working and living in Europe. Which fuels the goodbye-Music-World-Entertainment-hello-19-Entertainment rumour, by the way!

However, there has been no official statement from either Ms Kelly's publicist or Mathew Knowles himself. I can only think of two reasons for this:

1. It's not true, and Ms Kelly and Beyonce's father are electing to be quiet about it, hoping that it'll go away; or
2. It is true, and all camps involved are electing to be quiet about it until all deals are finalised.

Option #2, please!

Seriously, Mathew Knowles is hindering Ms Kelly from being the superstar that she deserves to be. If you look at his management track record, then you'd wonder why Beyonce is the only domestic and international superstar. While Beyonce is talented and deserves her status, it is still not fair that Ms Kelly is not getting the proper career management that she deserves. The same goes for Michelle Williams and Solange.

It's favouritism and you know it!

So while I'm praying for the snowstorms to end (more on that later), I'll also pray for Ms Kelly to finalise leaving Music World Entertainment. Beyonce's dad's gotsta go.

Ms Kelly's Gotsta Go

Rumour has it that Kelly Rowland is leaving Music World Entertainment.

It's about freaking time!

I've been whining about the crappy treatment that Ms Kelly is getting from her management company. You know, when her sophomore solo album, Ms. Kelly, was pushed back and back, but Beyonce's sophomore solo album was released shortly (two weeks, according to rumours) after its completion. So when Ms. Kelly finally came out, it didn't sell well. Still, Kelly blamed her song choices for her album's failure. While it may have been a factor, her management's crappy, crappy, crappy treatment was also a major factor.

The good news is this: Ms. Kelly topped international - particularly European - charts. She's a megastar internationally, but is not the superstar that is Beyonce Knowles in the US.

So, according to Crunk & Disorderly, Ms Kelly was spotted meeting with Simon Fuller of 19 Entertainment. Could he be Kelly's new manager? Will Mathew Knowles let her go?

More importantly, can Kelly's new manager - regardless of who that is - help her US career take off? Let's wait and see...

The Official Countdown Begins...

Mark this date on your calendars: 21 January 2009.

I know I will. I, in fact, have.

On this day, I will not work overtime. I will eat my dinner shortly after I get home. I will do my BrainAge training early. I will be in front of the TV by 19:00, at the latest.

Because at 20:00, the three-hour season premiere event of LOST Season Five will begin!

It's official! DarkUFO reports that LOST will come back on 21 January 2009, at 8/7 central. Apparently, his source was the update on the ABC Inner Circle Twitter account. Who knew ABC had a Twitter account?

So, this is what's gonna happen in those three hours...

1. A one-hour recap special - Too many things have happened. I wonder how they can fit all that in one hour...

2. Episode 5.01 - The much-awaited "Because You Left". Who would be the centre - or centres - of the premiere?

3. Episode 5.02 - "The Lie." Wow. Who could be the central character(s) in this episode? Rumour has it that Hurley takes this one.

Another awesome news: for Season 5, LOST's regular timeslot is 21:00 on Wednesdays! Hmm... Will ABC move Private Practice to a new time/night? But, still. Yay, LOST is back on its old timeslot!

*Sigh* It totally made my day. I was so busy at work that I didn't know about this until I saw Doc Jeff Jensen's status on Facebook.

What do you think of that for the title of season 5, episode one? I kinda like it. It evokes the price paid by Michael and Jin to help save their friends — and the price paid by Ben to save the Island. And it might suggest some kind of thematic context for the death of John Locke/Jeremy Bentham. I also like ''The Sacrifice'' because it links to a Russian film about death and survival set against the backdrop of apocalypse, directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, who also directed an adaptation of Stanislaw Lem's Solaris, long suspected of being a Lost source text, despite not being part of the current Lost Book Club. All to say, ''The Sacrifice'' would make for fitting title for the first episode of season 5...

Can we expect a Jack-centric premiere, since he was the reason (i.e. his stubbornness, his insistence, etc.) they left the Island, which resulted in the horrible events that Jeremy Bentham/John Locke told them?

Evie and Dom in Buenos Aires

Aha!

DarkUFO posted this video where Dominic Monaghan (the late Charlie Pace) and Evangeline Lilly (Kate Austen) were separately interviewed by an Argentine entertainment (I think) reporter. I actually didn't finish the entire video; I paused it after Evie's segment.



So, is it true then? Are Evie and Dom back together and engaged? I totally hope so!

Evie and Dom to Marry?

I gasped in shock when I turned to page two of today's 24 Hrs tabloid this morning. The paper's celebrity gossip page reported that Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan (Kate Austen and the late Charlie Pace, respectively, in the best show ever) are getting married!

Evangeline Lilly and Dominic Monaghan are reportedly set to marry. The actors - who split briefly earlier this year - are said to be planning a quiet ceremony in Hawaii, as a tribute to LOST, the hit TV show on which they met. A source said: 'Evangeline and Dominic have been spending a lot of time together... and are very excited about the future.'

That is interesting. I wonder who the source was.

If this item were true, I'd be very happy for them. They are perfect for each other and they'd make beautiful, creative, talented, and athletic babies.

I hope it's true!

Today's the Day!

Were you able to resist the temptation of reading Lostfan108's spoilers (or anyone else's spoilers, for that matter)?

Good! Because it means you're strong and you value great storytelling. I personally tried so hard not to ready any spoilers because I want to be surprised. I didn't let Lostfan108 spoil the "rattlesnake in the mailbox" last year; why would I let him spoil the "frozen donkey wheel" for me this year?

Anyway, I won't do any live blogging, as I will be taking down notes and actually enjoying the finale while watching it. I may blog prior to the re-airing of TNPLH Part 1, but it is unlikely. I will, however, post my reactions, questions, and possibly a recap of the finale. Whether or not I'm crying my eyes out and/or my head is literally spinning a la Regan MacNeil, I will post. I was crying when I posted my recap/reactions for "Through The Looking Glass;" I can definitely do that again. I will probably do a recap for Season 4. That is, if I can find a good article (one that hasn't been on the usual fan sites) that was posted online on or before the premiere. I need to base the season recap on a previously published article, like I did last year. There's more relevance that way (imho).

Also, if you haven't seen it, DocArzt posted six clips - including an ultra gasp-worthy one. That major WTF moment should be resolved in the finale!

LOST To Stay on Thursday Nights?

Will Thursday nights be the best TV night when our favourite primetime shows come back?

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello reported today that ABC may keep LOST on Thursday nights starting from April, when new episodes of returning shows air. It is said that Grey's Anatomy will keep its 9/8 central timeslot, while LOST will air right after Grey's. Ugly Betty will keep its 8/7 central timeslot as well.

Not only that. Ausiello also said that ABC might keep LOST on Thursday nights for its last two seasons if everything goes well for LOST, ratings-wise.

Wow. My two favourite shows in one night! (Although I barely watched Grey's season 3, and I haven't seen a single episode of season 4.)

Personally, the best-case scenario is for ABC to cancel Dirty Sexy Money, so the network can make room for LOST on Wednesday nights. Unfortunately - for me anyway - ABC picked up Dirty Sexy Money for the 2008-2009 season. Crap.

Oh, there's one more.

Apparently, ABC wants to hold off airing Episode 8 until April. According to Ausiello's "spies" (as he calls them),

"Episode 7 makes for a better, more logical, break."

Now, what does that mean? That it has a better cliffhanger than Episode 8? Hmmm... Interesting. (I don't have enough information on Episode 6, "The Other Woman" as Lostpedia doesn't have a link for the press release yet. The page for Episode 7 has not been created on Lostpedia.)

Anyway, ABC can move LOST to any night and any time. I'm that addicted to LOST. Even if it's Saturdays at four or Mondays at nine, it's fine by me. I'll still watch LOST regardless of the time slot ABC decides for it.

I really just want the Season 4 storyline to be told completely. It's not going to be easy, but the LOST writers can do it. I know it. They're freakin' geniuses!

Of course, nothing has been set in stone. If I were a betting woman, I'd say the writers and their bosses are still trying to decide what's best for LOST Season 4 and beyond.

Sounds Familiar?

For anyone who's not Beyonce Knowles or Justin Timberfake - I meant, Timberlake - this year must suck.

First, Kelly Clarkson's summer tour was scrapped because of poor ticket sales. She has now started her fall tour and, according to reviews, is proving everyone how fantastic and real she is. Happy ending, indeed. Then, JC Chasez left Jive Records, but he hasn't inked a deal with another record company. Rumour has it that he's in talks with Interscope to do a joint venture with Timberfake's - once again, I meant, Timberlake's - Tennman Records (why, oh, why???) and Timbaland's Mosley Music Group.

Now, it looks like Kelly Rowland's fall tour is going to be scrapped altogether.

CRAP.

MediaTakeOut.com reports that the Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco shows have been cancelled. Worse still, the same site reports the entire tour may be axed. Here's the brief report, in verbatim:

October 23, 2007. For all you looking forward to Kelly Rowland's tour (and we know that's not a lot of you), you may be upset with this report. MediaTakeOut.com is hearing whispers that Kelly Rowland's upcoming tour with Mario is on the verge of being cancelled. The organizers of the tour have already cancelled the Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco legs of the tour. And word is - they're about to scrap the whole thing. The problem, MediaTakeOut.com is hearing, is that very few people were buying tickets to the shows. 2007 hasn't been a good year for Miss Rowland...

Of course, the writer just had to stress that not a lot of people are looking forward to her tour.

Oh, well. I wasn't gonna go to the Seattle concert anyway.

But still...

In a perfect world, Kelly Rowland will have the same respect that Beyonce has. It's a shame we live in an imperfect world.

Darlton Broke Radio Silence - AGAIN?

Well, well, well.

Apparently Darlton offered SCI FI Wire some season four "spoilers". Some of it I actually know or guessed about; the others (what? Others?) are kinda new to my ears (or eyes).

As announced at the Television Critics Association gathering (I think) the day before the 2007 Comic-Con, Harold Perrineau will come back as a regular in LOST. Damon Lindelof did say that they planned for Malcolm David Kelley's sudden growth (he's fifteen years old, playing a ten-year-old). I've guessed that his character, Walt, will only appear in flash-forwards. And as we've seen in the season three finale, he appeared to Locke on the island, which can be either a manifestation of the smoke monster or a proof that Walt does simultaneously appear in two places.

As for Jacob, Carlton Cuse said this: "Yes, we do know how Jacob will be depicted. Notice the careful wording of my answer. And, no, Jacob did not appear before he was met by Locke." According to the Compact Oxford English Dictionary, to depict is to represent by a drawing, painting, or other art form. It also means to portray in words. So we may see a painting or a photograph of Jacob in season four. Or maybe a written/verbal description. My theory is that the four-toed statue represents a part of the ginormous statue of Jacob.

Also, now that they have introduced the concept of flash-forwards, we're now going to see a combination of flashbacks and flash-forwards in season four. Now, we have to guess which character (who) the episode is focusing on and the time period (past or future) they are focusing on.

Damon Lindelof said this regarding Charlie Pace's death at the end of season three: "The reverberation of that death echoes right into the premiere of season four." Okay, Charlie went down to The Looking Glass station to stop the jamming and, in turn, to enable Jack and Naomi to contact Naomi's freighter. This, in Desmond's premonition, will result in rescue (specifically, Claire and Aaron's). Unfortunately, Ben kept saying that contacting the freighter people is a big mistake and is "the beginning of the end." Locke also told Jack that he "wasn't supposed to do this." Anyway, this may be an indication that the freighter people will bring harm to the Losties and the Others. So the supposed rescue may turn out to be really bad for them. That's one very serious consequence. Another is that Desmond will be affected by Charlie's death. After all, he was the one who predicted it. However, we never saw this particular flash (the producers may not have thought of it relevant to show us in season three, but whatever), so Des may have been acting on his own agenda, whatever it is. Not to mention, that Claire, Hurley, Jack, Kate, Rose, Bernard, and everyone else who love Charlie will be devastated upon learning that Charlie died.

The article ended by unofficially killing all Monday time slot rumours. It says season four starts on February 6, 2008. Check your calendars, to be sure. It's a Wednesday. I said "unofficially," because the network has said nothing official about it.

Evangeline Lilly Quitting LOST?

No, Evie, no!!!

I saw an article in the celebrity gossip page of the free daily about Evangeline Lilly, the stunning Canadian and LOST actress. It said that she and Dominic Monaghan, whose character was killed off in last season's finale, are going through a rough patch in their relationship. It is reportedly stressful keeping up their relationship with Evie filming season four in Oahu and Dom "exploring new horizons" in Los Angeles. Ananova.com reported that Dom promises to fly out to Oahu to see her every few weeks "because she's the love of his life" - which, I think, is very romantic. But, apparently, "things have hit a rough patch." Unfortunately, for us LOST and Kate fans anyway, Evie may quit LOST to save their relationship.

Well, long-distance relationships are difficult indeed to maintain. (Theoretically, at least, because I've never had one.) I've heard that long-distance relationships between two celebrities are even more difficult. Especially if you've been used to being with and working with the love of your life for three years. Then, boom, his character is killed off, while hers stays in the show until the remainder of the series.

I don't know if Darlton will let her quit LOST if she asked for it. Kate's story arc isn't complete. Also, the fact that she was in the rattlesnake-in-the-mailbox scene in "Through The Looking Glass" indicates her story arc may not be complete until the end of the series.

As romantic and brave as it is to sacrifice a great show like LOST for love, I hope Evie has enough professionalism to finish her character's run in the show.

I hope this rumour isn't true. But if it is, on behalf of all her fans, I'll say...
