Alpha Male Madness: Vote for Sayid!!!

Crap. I didn't get to vote for the Alpha Male Madness, Round 4! It's been a busy week and I've been coming home super exhausted.

But even without my help, Sayid Jarrah still beat James "Sawyer/LaFleur" Ford. It must be the purple shirt. Hehehehehe...

On to the Final Four: Eric Northman (True Blood), Sam & Dean Winchester (Supernatural), and the most bad-ass torturer/assassin on TV - Sayid Jarrah.

With no further ado, LOST fans/ladies, vote for Sayid!!!

My Five-Variable Love Profile

Ah... Two of my friends are getting married on Saturday. So my brain is full of romantic thoughts. What is it about a wedding that makes me think of...? Never mind.

Your Five Variable Love Profile

Propensity for Monogamy:

Your propensity for monogamy is high.

You find it easy to be devoted and loyal to one person.

And in return, you expect the same from who you love.

Any sign of straying, and you'll end things.

Experience Level:

Your experience level is medium.

You probably have had a couple significant loves.

And you may have even had your heart broken.

But you haven't really dated a wide variety of people.

Dominance:

Your dominance is low.

This doesn't mean you're a doormat, just balanced.

You know a relationship is not about getting your way.

And you love to give your sweetie a lot of freedom.

Cynicism:

Your cynicism is medium.

You'd like to believe in true and everlasting love...

But you've definitely been burned enough to know better.

You're still an optimist, but you also are a realist.

Independence:

Your independence is medium.

In relationships, you need both "me time" and "we time".

You usually find it easy to be part of a couple.

But occasionally you start to feel a little smothered.

Condo Hunt: Back to Madison Villas

The C's, my mom, and I went back to Madison Villas at Brydon Creek today. Mr C liked that building because it would make it easier for him and Mrs C to get to work. I liked it because of the price, although I'm wary about the access to transit.

My mom convinced me to look at the one-bedroom + flex room unit. She said that I'm single and I don't need a two-bedroom unit. So, the real estate agent showed us a suite on the first floor that is similar to the show home: 1-bedroom + flex room, 1-bathroom. It is approximately 688 square feet, and at $169,900, it is $246.95 per square foot. I was more open to the idea of getting a one-bedroom unit, because it is much cheaper and is just the right size for me. We looked at the identical second-floor unit. Finally, we went up to the third floor 1-bedroom + flex room, 1-bathroom unit. I discovered that the utility/storage room is much bigger in the 1-bedroom unit than in the 2-bedroom units that we previously looked at. Also, the flex room is big enough to be my office. The en-suite bathroom can be closed off when I have guests so they would not have access to my bedroom; the idea of my guests having access to my bedroom through the bathroom made me wary of the 1-bedroom unit, although I knew that it would be much cheaper. The master bedroom does not have a walk-in closet, but it has two closets that can fit my clothes. I can always keep my current dresser. There are furniture and appliances available that are ideal for small spaces, so I just need to find a good deal for the bed, dining set, couch, patio furniture, et cetera. The unit faces the east and the window is huge, so there are loads of natural light.

The monthly strata fee is much cheaper than I had anticipated. The annual property taxes are also relatively low. A good deal, isn't it?

Unfortunately, there are other buyers interested in the unit, so I really need to act soon. I've been pre-approved for a $200,000 mortgage. I don't worry about the monthly mortgage payments. I am kinda worried about the down payment, though. I haven't had enough saved for a down payment. It's my stupid spending habits, I know! I am waiting on my brother's answer - whether or not he'd be able to help me with the down payment. I do hope he will. Otherwise, I might have to wait a long, long, long time to save enough.

Of course, it also needs to be God's will. I need to speak with God about that. Soon.

Stay tuned.

Natasha Bedingfield: "Single" Woman No More

Whoa, that was quick.

Six months after she got engaged, Natasha Bedingfield was joined with Matthew Robinson during an outdoor ceremony in Malibu, California, People.com reports. According to the article, Natasha wore a white strapless Vera Wang gown with veil. The aisle on which she walked down was decorated with red roses. She had four bridesmaid and one flower girl. The half-hour ceremony took place at the Church Estates vineyards shortly after 5:30 pm PDT.

Best wishes, Natasha! Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Matthew Robinson!

E! Online's Alpha Male Madness Round 3: Jack vs Sayid, Sawyer vs Peter Bishop

If it ain't torture, I don't know what is.

Benjamin Linus and John Locke were knocked out of the E! Online's Alpha Male Madness, Round 2. Two of the remaining LOST men are battling each other, while the other LOST man is pitted against the male lead from Fringe. Yep, that's right: it's now Jack Shephard versus Sayid Jarrah, and James "Sawyer/LaFleur" Ford versus Fringe's Peter Bishop. How am I supposed to choose????

In the end, I chose Sawyer over Peter Bishop. I just re-watched "Namaste" (LOST 5x09) and I'm still feeling warm and fuzzy because Sawyer saved Jack & company's butts. And I haven't seen Peter Bishop on Fox since Fringe took a hiatus in favour of American Idol (coughgreedygreedygreedycough). Sorry, Peter; your share of the votes (41.7%) will take a while to catch up to Sawyer's 58.3%.

*Sigh* Why does E! Online have to pit Jack Shephard against Sayid Jarrah? Why??? I like both men - heck, I love both Jack and Sayid! They both have this tortured-tough-sexy-soulful-impulsive-thing going - to which I'm inexplicably drawn. So, in the end, I chose... Dr Jack Shephard. Only to learn that Sayid is beating Jack by 0.4%!!! Just zero-point-four percentage points!!!

Oh, well. They're both from LOST, so whoever wins won't really matter.

It's also sad to see that Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother lost, as well as Dr Owen "McBadAss" Hunt (Grey's Anatomy). On the other hand, I'm pleased to see that Dr Gregory House is beating Dr Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd by 13.6 percentage points. Hehehehehe... I've got nothing against McDreamy; I just think House is way more interesting.

But I'm still miffed that Desmond David Hume is not in any matchups in any round. What's up with that, Kristin?

So, LOST fans/ladies, vote for the LOST men here!!!

Kelly Clarkson is Back on Top!!!

The results are in: 255,000 copies of Kelly Clarkson's new album, All I Ever Wanted, were moved. This number propelled the album to the number ONE spot on the Billboard 200.

Boo-yah!!!

Congrats, Kelly! I'm sure my two Deluxe Editions (physical CD and iTunes pre-order) helped. :P

You can read the rest of the story - including the other albums in the Billboard Top 200 Albums - here.

The LOST Men Are TV's Alpha Males

Well, they should be anyway.

Calling all LOST fans, ladies, or both: vote for the LOST men on Round 2 of E! Online's Alpha Male Madness tournament!!!

The LOST boys - Jack Shephard, James "Jim LaFleur/Sawyer" Ford, John Locke, Benjamin Linus, and Sayid Jarrah - all moved on to Round 2 and they need your votes! Ben, Sawyer, Sayid, and Jack are doing well, but Locke seriously needs to beat Eric Taylor (played by Kyle Chandler on Friday Night Lights) in order to move on the next round.

Noticeably absent, though, is Desmond - I wonder why? Hmmm... At least, Peter Bishop (played by Joshua Jackson on Fringe) is there, battling Tim Riggins (played by Taylor Kitsch on Friday Night Lights) and winning (59.6% of the votes).

The toughest choice for me was Sayid Jarrah vs Dr Owen Hunt (played by Kevin McKidd on Grey's Anatomy). Dr Hunt was a great addition to the cast and is a worthy replacement for Dr Preston Burke (played by Isaiah Washington) in Dr Cristina Yang's (played by Sandra Oh) heart. Both men were in the military, tough and complicated. Smoking hot too. Obviously, I voted for Sayid. But it broke my heart - a little bit - that I had to chose someone else over Dr Hunt.

Go on, LOST fans/ladies. Stop reading this and vote for the LOST men and Peter Bishop!!!

All I Ever Wanted Tops (Canadian) iTunes Album List

Kelly Clarkson's brand-spankin'-new album, All I Ever Wanted, is out today! I've been enjoying the album since last night (I pre-ordered the deluxe version of the album on iTunes). And the physical copy of the deluxe version I pre-ordered from Amazon.ca arrived today too!

It's 21:51 PDT and the album has gone to number ONE!!! On the Canadian iTunes Top Albums list anyway, that is. I'm also proud to say that the deluxe version is number FOUR!!! (Yes, one of The Numbers!)

The US iTunes Top Albums list, on the other hand, has the deluxe version on number ONE, and the regular album on number FOUR!

Congrats, Kelly!!! I hope the physical - and the overall - first-week sales of the album translate to Billboard #1!

My Life Would Definitely Suck Without Kelly Clarkson

Is Kelly Clarkson reading my journal and/or my thoughts?

I just finished downloading Kelly Clarkson's All I Ever Wanted (Deluxe Version) from iTunes. Actually, I'm already on my second run of the entire album. And I love it already!

Despite its stark contrast to My December's moodiness and darkness, I actually like it. Both albums reflect my current thoughts and feelings regarding all aspects of my life. While My December helped me through my lengthy depressive period, I think All I Ever Wanted will be my soundtrack for the next few months. (I don't actually know what's going to happen in spring/summer; it's just a gut feeling.)

My favourite songs so far:
  • "My Life Would Suck Without You;"
  • "I Do Not Hook Up;"
  • "Cry" - I just about wept when I first heard this song;
  • "All I Ever Wanted;"
  • "If I Can't Have You;"
  • "Whyyawannabringmedown;"
  • "If No One Will Listen;"
  • "Tip of My Tongue;" and
  • "Can We Go Back"
Will any of these songs beat "Maybe" as my favourite Kelly Clarkson song of all time?
